Robert Allan

Bio.

Raised in North Ayrshire, I was educated at Ardrossan Academy before joining the Police Service.   I served in Ayrshire, Dumfries and Galloway, and with the Metropolitan Police.

When I retired I went to work for Westminster City Council, and when we returned to South West Scotland, I worked for Cumbria County Council.   Unfortunately a medical condition with which I was born reared its ugly head and I had to retire due to ill health.

I now devote all of my time to voluntary work using the skills I have developed throughout my life to support DGVoice wherever I can.

I am an elected non - executive member of Dumfries & Galloway Health Board, and wherever possible use this forum to promote the needs and interests of disabled people.
